Mexico City, April 2026 — The countdown continues. Months ago, the 2026 FootGolf World Championship was officially announced, confirming the port of Acapulco as the host of the most important international event in the sport. The tournament will take place from May 27 to June 7, 2026.
Backed by the International FootGolf Federation (FIFG) and organized by the Mexican FootGolf Federation (FMFG), the tournament will bring together more than 1,200 players from over 60 countries, establishing itself as the largest gathering of talent in FootGolf history.

This edition reflects the sport’s growth and its ability to bring together players from different regions in a single competitive environment,” said Fernando Name Guzzy, General Director of the Mexican FootGolf Federation®.
The event is supported by strategic partners from the tourism and business sectors. Beyond the competition itself, the 2026 FootGolf World Championship is set to be an experience open to the general public, offering an atmosphere that combines sport, entertainment, and hospitality. Ticket availability and access details will be announced soon and can be consulted and purchased through the event’s official website and social media channels, allowing fans to experience the competition up close.
In terms of broadcasting, the tournament will be aired through Televisa, izzi, and Sky, expanding its reach both nationally and internationally.
“Hosting a World Championship of this level represents a unique opportunity to showcase the quality of our courses and the comprehensive experience that Acapulco offers,” concluded Arturo Villaseñor, General Director of Tres Vidas.
