FootGolf Strengthens Its International Presence at the Tianguis Turístico México 2026

Acapulco, Guerrero, April 29, 2026. — As part of the Tianguis Turístico México 2026, the Federación Mexicana de FootGolf® took part in the official presentation of sporting events that promote specialized tourism and position Acapulco as a key destination for international competitions.

During the event, Acapulco was reaffirmed as the host city of the FootGolf® World Championship, an international tournament that combines soccer and golf, and is expected to attract both national and international sports tourism.

The presentation featured the participation of state authorities and representatives from the tourism and sports sectors, including:

  • Simón Quiñones Orozco, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guerrero
  • Seyed Rezvani, CEO of Grupo Mundo Imperial
  • Fernando Name Guzzy, CEO of the Federación Mexicana de FootGolf
  • Nuño Pérez-Pla de Alvear, Director of HYROX México
  • José Martín Sánchez Tenorio, President of the Federación Mexicana del Deporte Escolar
  • Abelina López Rodríguez, Municipal President of Acapulco

Additionally, Evelyn Cecia Salgado Pineda, Constitutional Governor of the State of Guerrero, addressed attendees and highlighted the importance of sports and tourism in strengthening Acapulco’s position as an international destination.

The FootGolf World Championship is part of a broader strategy to consolidate Acapulco as a host for international sporting events that generate economic impact, promote experiential tourism, and enhance the destination’s global projection.
