Germany To Host The Youth World Cup 2026

About the Selection Process

Following the initial bid round, the FIFG Youth Committee and Board carefully reviewed all applications. Unfortunately, the two bidding countries from the first round did not meet the expectations required for a Youth World Cup: one bid was incomplete, lacking both a financial proposal and confirmed dates, while the other proposed a weekday schedule and playing fees alone that exceeded what is appropriate for a youth-focused global event.

For this reason, the Board decided to relaunch the bidding process — a decision that proved to be absolutely the right one.

Awarding the Bid

The second round exceeded all expectations. Four countries applied, with two bids standing out in an exceptional way, offering innovative concepts, strong development programs, and even full tournament fees at no cost — a remarkable commitment to the growth of our sport and its youth. In the end, we are incredibly proud to announce that DFV Germany has been awarded the hosting rights for the Youth World Cup 2026.

Germany convinced on every level with a unique and innovative youth-camp concept, combining competition with education, courses, and a wide range of additional activities. The event will take place at an Olympic-style campsite, creating the perfect environment to build friendships, cultural exchange, and lasting relationships among players, parents, and federations.

Backed by significant sponsorship, and following a thorough review of all key elements — including the golf course, facilities, food & beverage, accommodation, safety standards, and contractual guarantees — Germany set a new benchmark for youth events within FIFG. At the same time, this event represents an important milestone for FIFG. We are deeply committed to long-term development and sustainable growth, and we are extremely proud that we have reached a point where a Youth World Cup can be hosted backed by sponsors that clearly recognise the potential of our youth — and that true progress is not driven by big promises, shining names, noise on social media but by real development, real work, and real effort. We are proud of the entire team that made this possible and firmly believe this is the right path to grow our sport.

Spots available per country

Each FIFG member country receives one spot per category, with additional spots allocated based on youth licenses in 2025 and 2026 (until May 15). Interested countries are encouraged to contact the Youth Committee as soon as possible: [email protected] for all relevant information.

The Youth World Cup 2026 is more than a tournament — it is a global meeting point for the next generation, a celebration of youth, sport, friendship, and the future of FIFG.

We truly believe this event will be memorable, inspiring, and a defining moment for youth FootGolf worldwide. Let’s grow FootGolf together!
