The FIFG FootGolf World Cup 2026 will feature a structured and transparent Team Country Draw process, designed to ensure fair competition, regional balance, and full compliance with FIFG regulations.
The official draw procedure applies to the Men’s, Senior, and Women’s Team Competitions and is based on a four-pot system derived from previous World Cup performance, host nation status, and regional qualification results.
This article outlines the draw format, pot structure, and official regulations governing the Team Country Draw.
General Draw Principles
- All Team Competitions use a four (4) pot draw system
- Pots are formed based on:
- Previous World Cup results
- Host nation inclusion
- Regional qualification performance
- Draws always begin with Group A
- If a group must be skipped due to restrictions, the draw restarts from Group A and continues sequentially
- Group formats:

- Women’s: Groups A–D
These principles apply consistently across all team categories.

Replacement Method for Team Spots After the Official Draw
In the event that a country which has already qualified for the Team Competition withdraws from the FIFG FootGolf World Cup 2026 after the official Team Draw has been completed, the vacant team spot will be reassigned in accordance with FIFG Competition Regulations, following the procedure below:
- Identification of License Ranking
The FIFG will identify the country with the highest number of valid World Tour Licenses in the corresponding category that has not already qualified for the Team Competition. - Regional Determination
The region of that country will be identified.
The vacated team spot is awarded to the region, not directly to the country. - Regional Allocation of the Spot
Once the additional team spot is assigned to the region, the FIFG will allocate it to the next eligible country within that region that did not qualify through its official regional qualification system.
This procedure ensures transparency, sporting integrity, and balanced regional representation across all Team Competitions.
The process of the pre-recorded and witnessed live draw will be available via the FIFG YouTube channel on Wednesday February 4, 2026, at 10 PM CET (3 PM Mexico time).
